Who is Wayne Sarna
Wayne Sarna is a graduate of 1975 Springfield Local High School, a 1979 graduate of Youngstown State University and a 1982 graduate of Cleveland-Marshal College of Law. He passed the State of Ohio Bar exam in 1983 and has been a licensed attorney since 1983. He worked full time as a practicing attorney until 2024. He has been the Ellsworth Township Zoning Inspector since 2014. Prior to being Zoning Inspector he served on the Ellsworth Township Zoning Board from 2001-2014 which he was appointed as Township Zoning Inspector. He was involved in the drafting of the current Ellsworth Township Zoning Ordinance having served on the Zoning Board as Secretary
and Chairman. Now that he is zoning Inspector, part of his duties are enforcing the Zoning Resolution He is a member of St. Michael’s Church
.
Mr. Sarna decided to accept the zoning inspector’s duties in 2014 since he participated in drafting the Township’s Zoning Resolution and has always had an interest in the Township and the school district since he moved here from New Middletown in 1987 when he married his wife Michele in 1987, who have 1 son that graduated from Western Reserve High School and graduated from Youngstown State University.

His current goal as zoning Inspector and member of the community is to maintain strong communication with citizens of the Township, as well as, maintain and grow relationships with the County, Township, and citizens of the Township. Additionally, his focus is on the Township’s and citizens needs and to work out any issues that he is confronted with.
Mr. Sarna resides in Ellsworth Township with his spouse, Michele and he believes the best approach to take is to communicate and work well with the community and be a positive and visable part of the Ellsworth Township district.
